Corrosive substance attacks in the UK are rising

Project Irreversible

Introducing Irreversible, a prevention initiative to counter the rise of attacks

The UK has the highest number of recorded attacks in the world. Project Irreversible aims to educate and engage with young people at risk in the UK to prevent attacks from occurring. Irreversible deploys a digital graphic novel to educate young people on the risks and consequences of acid violence on both victim and perpetrator.

The novel tells three corrosive substance attack stories set in different countries highlighting the global aspect of attacks. Tackling challenging subjects, it explores decisions taken by key characters, the consequences, and the long-lasting devastating impact of those actions. Using the graphic novel and toolkit, project practitioners will explore topics raised in Irreversible.
